Effective date: June 18, 2026
Florida Inspection Associates ("FIA," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website and a private web application ("the Application") that supports our automotive inspection and appraisal business. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you. It also describes how we handle data accessed through the Intuit QuickBooks Online API.
Florida Inspection Associates is a nationwide automotive appraisal and inspection company that has operated since 1987. We can be reached at Post Office Box 1308, Largo, Florida 33779, by telephone at 727-588-0331 or 888-342-4678, or by email at bill@fiainspectors.com.
We collect the following categories of information:
FIA uses Intuit's QuickBooks Online API solely to synchronize FIA's own billing and accounting between the Application and FIA's own QuickBooks Online company. Through this integration we may access and exchange:
Data obtained through the QuickBooks Online API is used only to provide and operate FIA's accounting and billing functions. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own purposes. Our access to and use of information received from Intuit APIs adheres to the Intuit Developer Terms of Service and applicable Intuit data-handling requirements. Access is limited to authorized FIA personnel who need it to perform their duties.
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries and quote requests; to evaluate employment and contractor applications; to dispatch, perform, and document inspections; to generate worksheets and billing reports; to invoice warranty companies and pay inspectors; to operate, secure, and maintain the Application; and to comply with our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our business: with Intuit/QuickBooks Online to provide the accounting integration; with service providers that host or support our systems under confidentiality obligations; between the parties to an inspection (FIA, the assigned inspector, and the requesting warranty company) as necessary to complete the work; and where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. Data transmitted between your browser, the Application, and Intuit is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access to the Application and to QuickBooks data is restricted to authenticated, authorized users, and credentials are stored using industry-standard hashing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements, after which it is deleted or archived. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us at bill@fiainspectors.com. We will honor such requests subject to our legal and recordkeeping obligations. If FIA disconnects QuickBooks Online, the integration ceases and associated access tokens are revoked.
Our website and Application are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated policy on this page.
